「2026年3月の開発者ノート」Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, Head PD of CounterSide.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all CEOs who continue to support CounterSide.In this March Developer’s Note, we will share details on the April update.[Main Stream EP. 15 The Golden Tree and Its Tender]The first update we would like to share is the long-awaited Main Stream EP.15.In Main Stream EP.15, the Administrator and their allies, having overcome the ordeal of the Omen, begin their counterattack against the Demon Lord, Thagirion.The story will follow their journey as they locate the throne hidden in the deepest reaches, make their way toward it, and uncover what has become of the long-missing Leah Schneider and Ecclesia.Those bound to Thagirion by fate will gradually draw closer to the truth, while both familiar yet new figures become entangled in what lies behind it, driving the story toward its grand conclusion.Why did Thagirion, the ruthless and merciless Demon Lord who has destroyed countless worlds, spare their sworn enemy’s lives? What kind of place awaits as the final stage where that answer lies hidden? And what fate will the Administrator ultimately face there?Main Stream EP.15, The Golden Tree and Its Tender is scheduled to be updated on Apr. 22. One week later, a new Awakened Employee will also be added.However, as introducing the new Awakened Employee may spoil the story, we ask for your understanding that further details will not be revealed in this Developer’s Note. [New Gauntlet Season]As previously mentioned in the March 24 Patch Notes, we would like to provide additional details regarding the adjustments to the ban rules for the 2026 Devotion season, starting on March 30.In the previous season, the system was revised so that the number of banned employees increased progressively over time, eventually reaching a scale similar to that of earlier formats in the latter half of the season. However, we also received feedback indicating that the number of banned employees during the early stages felt relatively low.Based on this feedback, we have adjusted the system by shortening the no-ban period to one week. Starting from Week 2, three employees will be designated as banned each week.Through this change, banned employees will accumulate more rapidly as the season progresses. We expect this to encourage greater strategic diversity and more dynamic match environments throughout the season. [New Gauntlet Skin]The featured employee for the 2026 Devoted season Gauntlet skin is Freyja Hilde.For this Gauntlet skin, we wanted to portray a different side of Hilde, one who has fully adapted to the role of a casino dealer, offering a distinct charm from her usual image as a strong and resilient warrior.We hope you enjoy the Gauntlet even more through the unique appeal of Hilde in this new atmosphere.◆ Hwatu Master Croupier - Freyja Hilde[Unit Balance Adjustment]Following the end of this Gauntlet season, balance adjustments will be carried out for employees who had relatively low usage in the Gauntlet.At the same time, employees who have demonstrated notably strong performance compared to others will also be subject to balance adjustments.Please refer to the list of employees below for upcoming changes. With the addition of her Awakened Exclusive Gear, a DMG AMP effect on the gear will maximize her strengths further. Therefore, we expect Alice to demonstrate even more explosive firepower.Aditya Surya will also receive Awakened Exclusive Gear that enhances her core strengths, with an ASPD option. We are preparing both Awakened employees so that their unique characteristics can be further emphasized through the exclusive gear, and we hope you look forward to it. [Enhance All Gear Feature]We are currently preparing to introduce the Enhance All Gear feature in the April update, allowing multiple pieces of gear to be enhanced simultaneously.With this feature, up to 10 pieces of gear can be enhanced at once. You will be able to select from four enhancement thresholds, +2, +5, +7, and +10, and proceed with batch enhancement up to your desired level.Additionally, if the selected gear contains latent options, a function to automatically unlock those options will also be included.We expect that the Enhance All Gear feature will allow for more convenient gear management and setup.Please note that the image provided above is from a version currently under development, and the final implementation may differ from what is shown. [Great Expedition Regular Season 2]In this Great Exploration update, new event sectors will be added where you can obtain a specific Awakened employee, as well as their exclusive artifact.Unlike existing sectors, these event sectors will include additional elements to provide a more immersive gameplay experience, along with light narrative components.We hope these newly added event sectors will allow you to enjoy the Great Exploration in more diverse and engaging ways. [Notice on the Prestige Service and Counter Pass]Lastly, we would like to share an important notice with our CEOs.The Prestige Service, which has offered attractive skins for CounterSide employees along with various rewards, and the Counter Pass, which has provided abundant rewards and new employees, will be discontinued.Accordingly, the currently ongoing [8th Prestige Service: The Clockwork Girl] and [Counter Pass: Minha] will be the final updates, and no further Prestige Service or Counter Pass content will be added.As many of our CEOs have been looking forward to new Prestige skins and Counter Pass employees, we sincerely regret having to share this news. 「2026年2月の開発者ノート」Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, Head PD of CounterSide.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all CEOs who continue to support CounterSide.In this February Developer’s Note, we will share details on the March update, building upon the announcements made during the CounterSide Origin 3rd Anniversary live broadcast.[New Counter Pass Employee – Minha]The SSR employee [Minha], first revealed during the 3rd Anniversary broadcast, will be joining as a Counter Pass employee.[Minha] is a Counter-type Striker who delays enemy skill activation and deals powerful damage to enemy Supporters.In particular, after casting her Ultimate Skill, her Special Skill is enhanced, allowing her to deliver an even more devastating blow to her enemies.However, as development on [Minha] has not yet been fully completed, she will be updated on March 11, rather than the current Counter Pass end date of March 4.Accordingly, the Counter Pass will not begin immediately after the previous one ends. Instead, there will be a one-week break, and it will resume on March 11. We kindly ask for your understanding.◆ Minha[New Operator - Mary Crew]The three Crew sisters, Serina, Tallie, and Credere, who have each been loved for their unique charms, will now be joined by their mother, [Mary Crew], as a new operator.[Mary Crew] has been designed with a focus on strengthening the frontline roles of Defenders and Strikers.Through her Command Skill, she grants DMG Taken RDC to all allies. In addition, she provides Defenders with effects tailored toward protecting the team, while offering Strikers additional benefits that improve their combat sustainability.With this design direction, we hope she will serve as a meaningful new option for reinforcing frontline stability and enhancing overall battlefield resilience.◆ Mary Crew[New Awakened Exclusive Gear - Strombringer Jake Walker]An Awakened Exclusive Gear for [Stormbringer Jake Walker], who has consistently been loved by our CEOs since his release, is planned for addition.While [Stormbringer Jake Walker] has long held the frontline with his strong tanking capabilities, the introduction of various new employees and evolving combat environments has made it more challenging for him to maintain the same level of presence as before.In response, we are reviewing the release of Awakened Exclusive Gear designed to enhance his survivability and allow him to continue performing effectively on the frontline.Further details will be provided in a future patch note.[Operator Balance Adjustment]Long-awaited operator balance adjustments will be implemented in March.The operators included in this update are [Rachel Dodds], [Anastasia Chernova], [Moneka], [Replacer Rook], [Moena], and [Merlin].Through this adjustment, we will be reworking their Command Skills to ensure that each operator fulfills a clearer and more meaningful role within the current combat meta.For the intended adjustment direction for each operator, please refer to the details below.1. Rachel DoddsShe will be adjusted to provide stronger offensive effects to allied Soldiers, granting additional benefits based on the number of allied Soldiers deployed on the battlefield.2. Anastasia ChernovaShe will be refined to enhance allied Mech units with offensive effects, providing additional benefits whenever allied Mech units are deployed after her Command Skill is activated.3. MonekaShe will apply Can't Recover debuff to all units on the battlefield while granting additional offensive effects to allies, reinforcing overall damage output.4. Replacer RookShe will serve as a support-type operator who grants Perfect EVA to all units on the battlefield, along with additional effects to strengthen allied performance.5. MoenaShe will periodically summon entities onto the battlefield, gradually weakening enemies through sustained pressure.6. MerlinShe will grant a powerful damage buff to frontline units, further strengthening her existing role.[Level 100 Exclusive Operator Voice Update]Unlike employees, who unlock exclusive voice lines upon reaching Lifetime Contract status, operators have not had dedicated voice lines. As a result, we felt that the sense of reward tied to operator growth could be further improved.Since operators are also unique employees with their own distinct charms, we are preparing a system that will grant an exclusive voice line upon reaching Level 100, making the growth experience more meaningful.Through the addition of exclusive voice lines, we hope that each operator’s individuality can be expressed more clearly, and that your connection with them can become even more special.■ List of Exclusive Voice Lines- Reached level 100- Appointed as Commander- Added as Squad Member- Logged In- Tap 1- Tap 2- Tap 3- Tap 4[Gauntlet Strategy Battle]As mentioned during the broadcast, we plan to adjust Strategy Battle so that the deployment order of employees will follow the formation order set by each CEO.In addition, we are preparing a Quick Battle feature that allows you to review match results without going through the full combat sequence.Through the fixed deployment order and the Quick Battle feature, we hope to reduce the overall burden of participating in Strategy Battles and provide a more streamlined experience in CounterSide.This concludes this month’s Dev Notes.We wish you all the very best and will continue to support you with the same dedication moving forward.Thank you, as always.Hyunsoo KimHead PD, CounterSide

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all CEOs who continue to show their unwavering interest and support for CounterSide. It was a pleasure to connect with you during the live live stream, and we truly appreciate the enthusiasm and encouragement you shared with us. Below, you will find a brief overview and summary of the updates planned for the first half of 2026 that were introduced during today’s live stream.▣ New Awakened Employee – Freyja HildeAs CounterSide’s first-ever Awakened Employee, Hilde returns in a new form as the February Awakened Employee. The new Awakened Employee [Freyja Hilde] is a Supporter-class unit designed around the concept of a battlefield commander. Having reclaimed her sealed power, Hilde takes on the role of a commanding presence on the battlefield, granting special buffs to the leader of the deployed squad. These effects are further enhanced when the squad includes Fenrir Squad members such as [Fenrir Type Yoo Mina], [Arhat Joo Shiyoon], and [Personification of Sephira Noelle Wright]. In addition to her role as a supporter who strengthens her allies, Freyja Hilde is also designed to perform as a capable all-round damage dealer, allowing her to contribute directly to combat rather than remaining solely in a support position.▣ New Substream – Omen 6, What Must Be ReclaimedThe final stage of the Omen unfolds in Ground One.Within this seemingly peaceful city lies a small bar, home to a horned girl and a bartender, two familiar faces well known to many CEOs. While they, along with countless others, simply wish for the calm of everyday life to continue, the disasters brought by the Omen that have struck other cities are merely part of an inevitable course. As the decisive confrontation with Thagirion draws near, the sixth Omen title, [What Must Be Reclaimed], will introduce key figures whose fates are intertwined with Thagirion. As this episode comes to a close, it will simultaneously feel like the beginning of an entirely new story. ▣ New Main Stream – Ep.15 Beginning with [Administration Complete], the story that introduced Noelle Wright as a new member of the Fenrir Squad, Main Stream Episode 15 brings Season 3 to its grand conclusion. In this chapter, CEOs will finally face Thagirion, the true mastermind behind every Omen incident. Humanity stands on the brink of annihilation, with extinction looming as soon as tomorrow. The battle ahead, against a Demon Lord who has already brought about the end of the world multiple times, will be anything but easy. Adding to the odds stacked against humanity, this Qliphoth Game will begin under conditions overwhelmingly unfavorable to mankind, as the opponent is none other than Thagirion, a Demon Lord who stops at nothing to achieve her ends. The central theme of Mainstream Episode 15 is ‘time.’ In the previous episode, the Administration secured a means to access this new domain, and how Thagirion and the Administrator’s group will make use of the concept of time will be one of the key points to watch. At the end of this brutal struggle, where both sides appear to have nothing left to lose, what awaits them? What became of those who stood on the front lines to stop Thagirion’s descent? And how will the Administrator seek to save a reality on the verge of collapse? We invite you to see Season 3 through to its very end. ▣ New SSR Employee – MinhaThe new SSR employee [Minha] is a Striker-class unit designed to directly pressure enemy Supporters through her Special Skill. By chaining her Special Skill and Ultimate Skill, Minha significantly reduces the enemy’s combat efficiency while effectively countering Supporter units. Minha will be available through the March Counter Pass. ▣ New Operator – Mary CrewMary Crew, the charismatic mother of the three Crew sisters who have been active across many aspects of CounterSide, will be released as a new Operator. Mary Crew is an Operator designed to maximize the survivability and frontline performance of Defender and Striker-class Employees. Through her Command Skill, she provides DMG Taken RDC for all allied units, while granting additional, specialized buffs to Defender and Striker units. This allows her to significantly enhance overall squad survivability and support frontline Employees in effectively fulfilling their roles on the battlefield. Mary Crew will be available through the operator recruitment in late March. ▣ Content Scheduled for Release in the First Half of 2026 ■ Gauntlet Strategy Battle – Quick Match UpdateA new Quick Match feature will be added to Gauntlet Strategy Battles, allowing CEOs to view battle results instantly without entering the combat itself in CounterSide. This feature can be enabled through the settings menu. Once activated, Strategy Battles will resolve immediately, displaying the battle result without going through the full combat sequence. Battles completed using the Quick Match feature can still be reviewed through replays, and they award the same amount of points as standard Strategy Battles. The Quick Match feature will also be available for NPC battles, making it more convenient than ever to earn Gauntlet Points. ■ World Map Branch EXP Adjustment The maximum level for World Map Branches is 10, and each level increase unlocks additional branch facilities, allowing access to a wider variety of World Map content in CounterSide. However, the time required to level up a branch has been relatively long. In particular, the EXP required to progress from levels 8 to 10 was significantly higher than that of levels 1 to 7, resulting in extended progression times. To address this issue and reduce the overall time needed for branch level progression, we plan to increase the EXP obtained from Branch Missions by more than 50% compared to the current values. With this adjustment, the time required to reach Branch Level 7 is expected to be significantly reduced. Additionally, progression from Levels 8 to 10 is also expected to take considerably less time than before. ■ Tactical Update / Operator Fusion Formula Adjustment Currently, when performing a Tactical Update, the Tactical Update level of the Employee used as material is ignored, and the resulting level is determined solely by the Tactical Update stage of the target Employee in CounterSide. To better preserve the value of the Employees you have invested in, we plan to improve this system so that the Tactical Update levels of material Employees are inherited and added together during Tactical Updates. In addition, the transfer of Operator Command Skill levels will be adjusted to follow a similar rule. For example, if a Level 3 Command Skill Operator is used to transfer skills to a Level 1 Command Skill Operator, the resulting Command Skill level will be combined to Level 4. ■ Operator Balance Adjustment Due to their early release timing, some Operators are currently difficult to use effectively in both PvE and PvP environments. To address this, balance adjustments for these Operators are planned. This balance update aims to make older Operators more viable within the current combat meta. At this time, the adjustments are expected to apply to six Operators. The Operators scheduled for balance adjustments are [Merlin], [Rachel Dodds], [Anastasia Chernova], [Moena], [Moneka], and [Replacer Rook]. Further details regarding these balance changes will be provided in a future patch note. ■ Level 100 Operator Exclusive Voice Update Unlike employees, who gain exclusive voice after getting the Lifetime Contract status, operators have not had their own dedicated voice until now. As operators are also special employees to our CEOs, we plan to introduce operator-exclusive voice that will be unlocked upon reaching level 100. Through the exclusive voice, we hope CEOs will be able to develop an even stronger connection with both their currently recruited operators and those they will recruit in the future. ■ Main Stream & Substream Partial Voiceover Update To enhance immersion across CounterSide’s expansive narrative, spanning 15 Mainstream and over 40 Substream episodes, partial voiceover will be added to select highlights within certain Main Stream and Substreams. The episodes receiving additional voiceovers are as follows. We hope you will enjoy the highlighted scenes featuring the newly added voiceover and experience each episode in a more immersive and impactful way. ▣ 3rd Anniversary Event Rewards Summary As announced during today’s live stream, the rewards prepared for this 3rd Anniversary event have once again been carefully selected with our CEOs in mind. A summary table of the 3rd Anniversary event rewards is provided below. 「2026年1月の開発者ノート」Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, Head PD of CounterSide.As we welcome 2026, we sincerely wish all CEOs a year filled with good health and happiness.We would also like to take this opportunity to once again express our heartfelt gratitude to all CEOs who continue to support and journey with CounterSide.In this Developer’s Note, we would like to briefly share news about the CounterSide Origin 3rd Anniversary Live Broadcast.[CounterSide Origin 3rd Anniversary Live Broadcast] Thanks to the continued support of our CEOs, CounterSide has now reached its Origin 3rd Anniversary.To celebrate the CounterSide Origin 3rd Anniversary, we are pleased to announce that a 3rd Anniversary Live Broadcast will be held on February 6.During the broadcast, we plan to personally share with our CEOs the final chapter of the Omen storyline, which will be released as part of the February update, as well as an overview of the update roadmap for the first half of 2026.To ensure the broadcast remains as exciting as possible, this Developer’s Note will not reveal all details in advance. Instead, we will be providing information only on the content scheduled to be added earlier, on February 4. We kindly ask for your understanding.As much as our CEOs are looking forward to this milestone, we are preparing to make the broadcast a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone.In addition, for our Global CEOs, the broadcast will be uploaded as soon as possible with English and Japanese subtitles on the CounterSide Global and CounterSide Japan YouTube channels.[New Employee – Kiera Bonny]On February 4, ahead of the Origin 3rd Anniversary, Kiera Bonny, the freedom-loving, officially certified S-Rank Counter of Front Bay, will join CounterSide as a new SSR employee.Kiera Bonny is a Counter Defender capable of handling all-round combat situations. She specializes in close-range defense, skillfully evading enemy attacks while maintaining a stable frontline presence on the battlefield.Each time she successfully evades an enemy attack, her survivability is gradually enhanced. Under certain conditions, she can also apply a Blind debuff to multiple enemies, allowing her to turn the flow of battle in her favor.With a combat style centered around EVA and disruption, Kiera Bonny is expected to demonstrate a strong presence even when facing multiple enemies at once.◆ Kiera Bonny[New Danger Close Boss – Felix]On February 4, a new Danger Close boss will also make an appearance.The opponent standing before our CEOs in this Danger Close is Felix, the leader of the Northern Union.During battle, Felix possesses a unique combat trait that allows her to absorb a portion of the damage taken by Northern Union forces. In addition, Northern Union units gradually grow stronger as more of them remain on the battlefield.As a result, the longer the battle continues, the greater the pressure on the battlefield becomes. To successfully overcome this encounter, it will be crucial to consistently eliminate the Northern Union forces that appear at regular intervals.[Other Improvements and Fixes]Alongside new content updates, the CounterSide development team continues to work on ongoing improvements and fixes across existing content to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience for all CEOs.Throughout this process, the feedback and reports you share with us through various channels—including our official community and customer support—have been a tremendous help to the team.Through your messages, we can truly feel your continued interest in and passion for CounterSide, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude.In particular, a handwritten letter recently sent to us all the way from Germany was especially meaningful. This is a level similar to the number of employees affected by weekly bans in the current season.The selection scope for the employee with the highest number of wins will follow the existing Rotation Ban criteria, and the voting will be conducted within the same scope as the existing Casting Ban system. In addition, ship ban rules will remain unchanged.Meanwhile in Strategy Battles, the Bans & Ups will be removed to allow for more flexible squad compositions.Through this overhaul of the ban system, we hope to encourage more diverse employee usage and foster long-term meta changes.We appreciate your continued interest and feedback regarding Gauntlet content.[Balance Adjustment Targets]As previously mentioned, balance adjustments will be carried out after the end of the Gauntlet season, targeting employees who have seen relatively low usage during the season.Please refer to the list below for the balance adjustment targets. It is a ranged attacker that moves through the air and delivers powerful damage when it detects enemies who have taken a certain amount of damage.It also possesses an ability that allows it to temporarily evade dangerous situations, and its offensive capabilities can significantly increase depending on the circumstances. We expect it to play an important role in Mech-focused squads.◆ Hyperion Plan Titan[New Operator - Myeongdal]Myeongdal, who showcased an impressive presence in Mainstream Episode 14 [Bara], will now be released as an Operator.Myeongdal inflicts the Seal skill effect on all units on the battlefield, while providing a powerful DPS-boosting buff to allied units.We hope you will look forward to the impactful performance that Operator Myeongdal will bring to the battlefield.◆ Myeongdal[New Danger Close Boss - Mors of the Fallen Winter]A new Danger Close boss will arrive to challenge CEOs, following Ray.This time, the Danger Close boss is Mors of the Fallen Winter.Mors of the Fallen Winter is a C.O.-type enemy with an abnormally high amount of HP, and its Skill Haste increases whenever a unit on the battlefield retreats.Additionally, when it casts its Special skill, its defensive stats temporarily rise significantly.Please keep in mind that you will need to deal extremely high damage in a short period of time in order to stop it.[Event Raid]A new event raid featuring a special boss will be added to the raids that appear upon completing World Map Branch Dispatch missions.The event raid boss is the Guardian of Sephira, and this raid will be available as a single-level encounter set at level 190 and above.The Guardian of Sephira has the same appearance rate regardless of branch level or facilities. It does not appear as part of a separate season. Instead, it has a chance to replace the original boss whenever a raid appears, independent of the raid season.The Guardian of Sephira will run alongside the current raid season, and you will be able to exchange the special currency obtained from the event raid for items in the shop.[Great Expedition]We would like to express our gratitude to all CEOs who have shown great interest in the recently updated Grand Expedition and have been enjoying the content.We have also carefully reviewed the feedback you have shared, and based on your suggestions, we are preparing to deliver an improved Grand Expedition experience in the next season.First, if you have employees equipped with skins, we are planning to make those skins appear in Grand Expedition when those employees show up there as well.We are also considering enhancing Artifact stats so that their effects can be felt more clearly during gameplay.In addition to these changes, we will continue working hard to provide an even more enjoyable Grand Expedition experience based on the many valuable opinions you have given us.[Removal of Alternium Reactors]The Alternium Reactor, which has been placing an unintended burden on our CEOs, will be removed in December.As mentioned in a previous Developer Note, we are currently working on removing the Alternium Reactor and applying its effects directly to each employee’s skills instead. We are also reviewing a plan to allow CEOs to exchange Alternium Reactor related materials for desired items through the event shop.Additionally, please note that unit balance adjustments will continue based on Gauntlet season trends, focusing on employees with lower usage rates.[Unclaimed Counter Pass Rewards]If there are any unclaimed rewards when a Counter Pass season ends, they will now be automatically sent to your Inventory along with a notification popup.We sincerely apologize for the delay in delivering this feature, despite many CEOs having requested it for quite some time.The function to send unclaimed Counter Pass rewards to the Inventory is scheduled to be added in December, and we plan to apply the same system to unclaimed Prestige rewards afterward.However, please note that Prestige service rewards require additional development due to the existence of overflow rewards, so this update will take more time to complete. We kindly ask for your understanding.[Gauntlet Ban Rules]Although this is not part of the December update, we would like to give you an early notice regarding the Gauntlet ban rule changes currently under consideration for the next season.In the past, when 3-ban or 4-ban systems were active, it was difficult for CEOs to freely use newly acquired employees in Gauntlet, and it was unclear when those units would become available. For this reason, the system was changed to the current format.However, as many CEOs have expressed concerns about the repetitive pattern that occurs every other week, we are now reviewing and revising the Gauntlet ban system.Since we are currently mid-season and the update requires major code adjustments, the new ban rules are planned to be applied starting next season.First, employees selected as ban targets will not be able to be assigned to squads and will be unavailable for the entire season.In addition, no ban targets will be selected during the first two weeks of the season. Beginning in Week 3, two employees will be banned each week.Accordingly, four employees will be banned in Week 4, six in Week 5, and the number will continue to increase each week following the same pattern.Ban targets will be determined by selecting the employee with the highest number of wins and the employee ranked first in Casting Ban votes.
