「2025年7月の開発者ノート」Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.Thank you for your continued love and support, which allowed CounterSide to celebrate its 2.5-year Origin Anniversary. In this Dev Notes, we will share the schedule for the upcoming 2.5-Year Origin Anniversary events and details about the 2.5-Year Origin Anniversary livestream.Typically, CounterSide’s half-anniversary events begin in early August, starting with the Half-Anniversary Eve Punch-in event, followed by various content-rich events that last around 3 to 4 weeks. However, for this 2.5-Year Origin Anniversary, the event will start a bit later than usual, which will begin on August 12 (UTC-5), and the full half-anniversary celebration will roll out shortly after.The livestream, which normally takes place before the Anniversary eve, will instead be held on August 13 (UTC-5), the same day the punch-in begins. Unlike previous anniversary streams held in external studios, this year’s livestream will take place from our in-house broadcast studio, and the Head PD of CounterSide will be hosting it solo to face directly with our CEOs. During the stream, detailed updates on the new Mainstream EP. 14, new Awakened employee, new skins, and more, as teased in a recent Dev Notes. We’ll also take this opportunity to openly discuss the development direction for the second half of 2025 and strengthen our communication with all CEOs.We sincerely apologize for the delay in the 2.5-Year Origin Anniversary event compared to previous half-anniversary timelines. We also apologize that this Dev Notes does not include the update details many of you were looking forward to, and instead focus mainly on the half-anniversary schedule and stream timing. However, rather than limiting communication with vague previews, we believe that it is better to be transparent about the anniversary event schedule and provide clear information during the upcoming stream. This is a new approach we’re trying, in the hopes of engaging with you more sincerely, and we ask for your support and understanding.Also, for our Global audiences, we will upload the stream with English subtitles as soon as we can.As a small consolation to those who were hoping for update news, we’d like to close this Developer Note by revealing the silhouette of a new Awakened employee who will play a key role in Mainstream EP.14.◆ New Awakened Employee - ???Although the weather may vary depending on where our Global CEOs reside, we hope every one of our CEOs stays safe and sound.Thank you, as always. 「2025年6月の開発者ノート」Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.We thank all our CEOs for all the support and love sent to CounterSide.In this month's Dev Notes, we'll provide more details about the upcoming updates during July.[ New Substream - Pride of Knights ]In the May Dev Notes, we gave a small hint about the Zodiac Knights while introducing Grace Birmingham, and now, their story, [Pride of Knights], is finally coming in an upcoming update.[Pride of Knights] will be released in two parts. ACT 1 & 2 on July 1 and ACT 3 – 5 on July 8.We understand that many of our CEOs eagerly await new story content. However, Pride of Knights contains significantly more story volume than other Substreams, so we ask for your understanding regarding its split release schedule.This story revolves around an internal faction conflict within the Knights after the Qliphoth Game, highlighting clashing ideals.As each member’s sense of justice collides, long-hidden secrets surrounding both the current and previous generations of the Zodiac Knights begin to surface.We invite you to experience the chaos and upheaval that unfold as knights who revere tradition confront the truth of their past, and discover how these revelations will shape the future of the Zodiac Knights in Pride of Knights.In addition, the next Main Stream episode is currently being prepared with a targeted update in August.We know that the Main Stream is what our CEOs look forward to the most, and we’re working hard to deliver an experience you’ll enjoy. However, please note that the schedule may still be subject to change depending on development progress.[ New Awakened Employee - Zodiac of Redemption Esterosa de Chevalier]The protagonist who will awaken in this Substream is none other than Esterosa de Chevalier, Captain of the Zodiac Knights and the core of Blueshift.Though she may have stepped away from her position as the Captain, a role like hers cannot be easily replaced.What choice will this wandering knight make when her comrades face a crisis? And what changes will that decision bring? We hope our CEOs are looking forward to finding out.Zodiac of Redemption Esterosa de Chevalier is a Counter-type Defender employee, designed to enhance and build upon the unique characteristics of the original.She aggressively utilizes her HP stat and features a limited number of deployments per battle, requiring CEOs to make strategic decisions right from squad formation.We invite you to look forward to Zodiac of Redemption Esterosa de Chevalier, who will arrive with a brand-new approach unlike any employee before her.◆ Zodiac of Redemption Esterosa de Chevalier[ New Persona Employee - Space Cat Félicette ]Persona Félicette, who made her debut in a new form in Main Stream EP.13 [The Law of Creating a World], will be recruitable in July.The upcoming Space Cat Félicette has been designed around a Sniper concept, inspired by her "Ace Up My Sleeve" revealed in the story, now upgraded and reimagined as the Telescope, combining the Zoom Lens with a mainframe.Space Cat Félicette will showcase her strength as a Sniper, with the added ability to counter air units, making her a versatile and strategic choice on the battlefield.Once a steadfast shield on the frontline protecting her allies, Félicette now takes on a new role! Stay tuned to see how she shines in her evolved form.◆ Space Cat Félicette [ New Counter Pass Employee - Medea Davis ]The next employee coming through the upcoming Counter Pass is Medea Davis, one of the key figures of the previous generation of Blueshift.After the former Captain of the Knights vanished, Medea stepped down from the frontlines, appointing Yang Hansol as her successor.Though she kept her distance from the Knights, it never meant she turned her back on their struggles.Now, with Medea Davis taking action once more, please look forward to seeing how she and the former generation of Zodiac Knights rise in Pride of Knights.Medea Davis is designed as a Defender-type employee who knocks back enemies and summons a wall to absorb damage on behalf of her allies, acting as a powerful shield on the battlefield.Watch closely to see what kind of presence Medea, once a pillar of the Zodiac Knights, will bring to both the story and combat. ◆ Medea Davis[ 7th Prestige Service ]The 7th Prestige Service will begin with the July 1st update.This time, the spotlight falls on none other than Six Wings Swan Claire.The name of the 7th Prestige skin is [Black Swan’s Oath]. Inspired by the Black Swan Theory, this special wedding-themed skin envisions a destined union between the CEO and Swan Claire across countless chains of causality in parallel worlds.Unlike her elegant appearance as the White Swan, we invite you to discover the unexpected charm she reveals as the Black Swan.◆ Black Swan’s Oath - Six Wings Swan Claire[ 2025 Courageous Season - Ranked Battle ]The 2025 Courageous Season will begin on Sunday, June 29, 2025, 14:00 (UTC-5).For this season, we’ve refined certain aspects of the Gauntlet overhaul introduced last season, specifically addressing areas that received mixed feedback from our CEOs. These improvements aim to provide a better overall experience.As announced in the June 24 Patch Notes, the point deduction and demotion mechanics will now apply starting from the Diamond 5 League. Additionally, the limited Gauntlet skin reward will now be obtainable upon reaching Diamond 5.However, matchmaking with NPC battles will still be available up to Grandmaster 1.We encourage CEOs to make use of the NPC match toggle option for a more comfortable and flexible ranked experience.Also, in the July 1 update, we’ll be adjusting the matchmaking mechanics to slightly narrow the matchmaking range. Furthermore, we will be strengthening the Ship Ban penalty to reinforce its intended impact on the meta.◆ Ship Ban PenaltyBefore: ATK, HP, and Skill Haste -20% per banAfter: ATK, HP, and Skill Haste -40% per banThrough these changes, we hope to provide a more engaging and enjoyable Gauntlet environment. 2025年5月の開発者ノートDear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.We thank all our CEOs for all the support and love sent to CounterSide.In this month's Dev Notes, we'll provide more details about the upcoming updates during June.[ Mainstream EP. 13 - The Law of Creating a World Part 2]The first news we’d like to share with our CEOs is that Mainstream EP. 13 – The Law of Creating a World Part 2, the follow-up to Part 1 (updated on Wednesday, May 20th (UTC-5)), is scheduled to be released on June 24th (UTC-5).Like Part 1, this upcoming Part 2 has been prepared with a rich and expansive story, going beyond the scope of our previous Substreams—and will mark the grand conclusion of the Mainstream storyline.Part 2 will continue directly from where Mainstream EP. 13 Part 1 left off, covering the latter half of the episode.We won’t be sharing specific plot details in this developer note as we believe it is more enjoyable to experience the story firsthand. We kindly ask for your understanding on this matter.We also sincerely apologize for the extended gap between the updates of Part 1 and Part 2, which differs from the typical schedule of previous Mainstream and Substream episodes.We’ve taken this time to ensure the story is crafted with the highest quality, and we sincerely hope our CEOs will look forward to what’s to come.[ New Persona Employee - ???]In June, a new Persona employee will be joining the roster.This employee will make her debut in Mainstream EP. 13 – The Law of Creating a World Part 2, appearing in a brand-new look. To ensure that our CEOs can fully enjoy the story without spoilers, we will not be revealing the identity in this developer note or the monthly preview. We appreciate your understanding.The new Persona employee is a 3-cost Soldier-type unit, currently designed as a Striker who deals increased damage to Ranger opponents.Please note that this new Persona employee will be available through Normal Recruitment.We hope you're looking forward to seeing who this will be and how she will leave her impression. ◆ ???[ New Operator - ??? ]Next, we’d like to introduce a new Operator coming this June.This Operator is a key figure connected to the Zodiac Knights, and she will play a pivotal role in the storyline to be revealed in the future.With her arrival, a new chapter unfolds—linking the past and present. We hope you look forward to discovering what stories await, and what consequences her choices may bring to the Knights.Unlike existing Operators who primarily support allies with buffs or weaken enemies with debuffs, this new Operator is being designed to take part in combat in a more special and impactful way—applying debuffs to enemies while also temporarily summoning units that can deal powerful damage.We’re excited to see how this new form of Command Skill will shape battles, and once again, we invite our CEOs to look forward to the unfolding story and the effects her decisions may have on the Zodiac Knights.◆ Operator ???[ Regarding Invincibility Effect ]In CounterSide, there are various forms of invincibility effects, such as Immune to DMG possessed by certain employees, or invincibility during Ultimate Skill animations for others.However, since the timing and duration of these effects vary depending on the employee, we understand that it may be difficult for our CEOs to clearly grasp how each invincibility effect functions.To improve clarity and help our CEOs better understand and utilize these effects in battle, the development team will be redefining the invincibility effects as outlined below:■ Immune to DMG with Visual Effects※ Updated on May 30, 2025 at 05:28 (UTC-5)When Immune to DMG is triggered while under a non-damaging Stun or Sleep effect, the Stun/Sleep effect will be removed, while Immune to DMG remains active.When a non-damaging Stun or Sleep effect is applied to a unit already under Immune to DMG, the unit will stagger, and the Stun/Sleep effect will be removed, while Immune to DMG remains active. * Other status effects such as Freeze, Bind, and Confusion will not be removed. * Under Immune to DMG, employees cannot be hit by enemy attacks, so status effects that involve damage will not be applied. * If Immune to DMG is triggered during a damaging Stun or Sleep effect, that effect will be removed. (This behavior remains unchanged.) * This clarification of the Immune to DMG policy applies only to non-damaging Stun or Sleep effects, such as those caused by Command Skills like Asha or Chloe Starseeker. It does not apply to effects inflicted through attacks.■ Immune to damage State (No Visual Effect)Grants complete immunity to all types of damage and status effects (including those labeled as "cannot be canceled").Unless otherwise noted, this state is applied for a certain duration during Ultimate Skill activation.We hope this updated approach to invincibility effects helps CEOs utilize these mechanics more effectively in battle.[ Unit Tag System Expansion ]To make it easier for our CEOs to find and organize employees by specific tags, we are planning to expand the current unit tag system used in the Form Squad and Collection menus.With this expansion, we will be adding more detailed tags based on each employee’s skill effects, allowing for a clearer understanding of their unique characteristics.※ ExamplesJudy Swift: Chill, Sure FireBreakbeat Alex: Barrier, Nullify Buff, Stun, Incoming Healing - * Please note that tag names may change upon the actual update.We hope this expanded unit tag system helps our CEOs easily find the employees that best match their strategies and preferences.This concludes the brief overview of the June update. Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.We thank all our CEOs for all the support and love sent to CounterSide.In this month's Dev Notes, we'll provide more details about the upcoming updates during May.[ Mainstream EP. 13 - The Law of Creating a World ]First, we would like to share the news about the Mainstream episode that many CEOs eagerly await.Before introducing the upcoming Mainstream EP. 13, we would like to inform you about the Mainstream update schedule.As mentioned in the previous Developer’s Note, CounterSide has been gradually revealing key narrative threads through the Substream episodes—threads that tie directly into the Mainstream storyline. At the same time, we’ve been continuing to unfold the stories of key characters from the same narrative perspective.The upcoming Mainstream EP.13 – The Laws of Creating a World, a full-scale story will develop through these narrative connections, offering more substantial content than the past ones.Due to the sheer scale of this episode, EP. 13 will be released in two parts. Part 1 is set to update on May 20 (UTC-5), while Part 2 is planned for release in June.We understand that many of our CEOs might feel disappointed by the split update, especially after waiting so long for the next Mainstream episode.However, the amount of content in Part 1 alone is comparable to ACTs 1 through 4 of the Substream combined, hence there will be plenty to dive into.While splitting the Mainstream was not ideal, we appreciate your understanding that it is essential for achieving the highest quality storytelling for Season 3.In this Mainstream EP. 13, Swan kidnaps Noelle in order to achieve her own goals, while a massive spaceship appears in the Normalside. As the situation unfolds, each faction scrambles to locate Swan and respond to the growing crisis.Will they succeed in tracking her down? And what is the true nature of this enormous spaceship? We look forward to your excitement and anticipation for what’s to come.[ New Awakened Employee - Personification of Sephira Noellele Wright]In the upcoming Mainstream, the newest rookie of the Fenrir Squad, Noellele Wright, will appear in an all-new form.Personification of Sephira Noellele Wright remains a Counter-type Sniper employee like the original SSR version. However, as illustrated below, she’ll be returning with wings—this time as an air-type employee.To let everyone enjoy the Mainstream episode without spoilers, we won’t be diving too deeply into her backstory just yet. As for her detailed combat concept, we will be sharing more information in the upcoming patch notes, so please stay tuned.◆ Personification of Sephira Noellele Wright [ New Employee - Black Rose ]The Counter Pass employee for May will be Black Rose of Betatrix, following Gambler, who received much love from the CEOs.Black Rose will be a Soldier-type Sniper employee who is being prepared in a multi-soldier format.Black Rose is a new face in the Mansion, and the face under her visor might be familiar to the CEOs, but please do not confuse her with a Persona version of another employee. ◆ Black Rose[ New Operator - Justine Macy ]Justine Macy, who first appeared in the Substream Alice Emergency and was loved by many CEOs, is scheduled to be released as a new Operator.Justine Macy is an Operator who grants the effect of increasing the Skill Haste of ally Rangers and enhances their offensive abilities.Look forward to Justine's arrival as an Operator, and please refer to the patch notes for detailed information ◆ Operator Justine Macy [ New Danger Close Boss - Nibble ]The adult version of Nibble, who was revealed in the Substream, Winter Vacation, will be appearing as a Danger Close boss.Like the characteristics shown in the story, Nibble absorbs power and becomes stronger each time she defeats the opponent.Also, be aware that she will unleash powerful attacks when she absorbs a certain amount of power, and we hope you will strategize to defeat this new Danger Close boss. [ Alternium Reactor ]The employees for the next Alteranium Reactor are Snipers, following the recent balance patch for the Sniper class.As mentioned in the March Developer's Note, stat adjustments such as ATK and HP were carried out through the balance patch, and the Alteranium Reactors are being prepared in a way that strengthens the employees' advantages or compensates for their weaknesses.The Alteranium Reactor targets are Lucid, Drekavac, and Morgana, and detailed information will be provided in a future patch note [ Squad Tornament The Worlds ]The cross-server Squad Tournament, which many CEOs have been waiting for, is scheduled to be held in May.Squad Tournament The Worlds will be conducted simultaneously on the Korea and Global servers, so there will be some differences from the previous Squad Tournaments.First, banned units will be voted on separately for each server, but the banned units determined from both servers will be applied to all servers.Also, the qualifiers will be conducted separately for each server, with 16 CEOs being qualified from each server. In the elimination round, 4 qualifiers from each server will be assigned to each group, featuring matchups between the Korea server and the Global server.As the Squad Tournament The Worlds is the first content where all CEOs from both servers will participate, we have prepared enhanced ranking and prediction rewards, so please look forward to the event and participation.
