Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.We sincerely apologize for the recent changes to the motions of Scales of Juno Jack-O’s SD unit, a limited-time Awakened employee from the ongoing GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- collaboration, without prior notice that was implemented in the data patch released on June 14th (Fri). The affected motions, which were updated in the data patch, include two animations: movement and attack.As part of our collaboration with the IP holder, we must obtain their approval for using their intellectual property in the game. This includes submitting all game assets for their review and approval.During the GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- collaboration in 2024, we discovered that the two motions for Jack-O’s SD unit were omitted from the resource asset review. These unreviewed assets cannot be used in the game as explained, so the two motions were removed via the data patch.We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and concern this may have caused to our CEOs. We should have informed you in advance about the situation and the reason for the motion changes.Fortunately, ARC SYSTEM WORKS, the IP holder for GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, has graciously agreed to review the previously omitted motions for Jack-O’s SD unit. The two motions that were removed from the game are now under review by the IP holder. Once it is complete, we plan to reimplement those motions in the game through a separate patch.Please note that the reviewed motions may differ slightly from the originally implemented versions or may be replaced with alternatives.
